1.)
So can you tell us how you came up with the
idea for this book? The Title? Blake’s Home is the
first in The Love Shack series. I wanted to write about cowboys and the ranch
life with gay men. Montana ranches are huge and away from towns. So I created
the Shack, an old pole barn at the spot where 4 ranches meet. It’s a shelter in
bad weather and a bar when the men need to relax. There is a backroom for
fun…lol.
2.) Who is your favorite character in this book and why? I love Blake…he had a horrible childhood and he finally
found a home. A place he feels safe. He is falling for the owner’s youngest son
but is avoiding that because of his secret. Being gay isn’t a problem here…but
he doesn’t want to lose his job or his friends…he’s hiding from happiness
because he’s never had any.
3.) Is this book different from the others you have written
in the past? If so how? This book mixes cowboy with
a shifter character and a lot of hot sex. The emotions are strong and the men
are intense.
4.) What is your favorite genre to write and why? That’s a tie. I love MM and MMMF. The MM is so hot and fun.
Men and the variety is a wild ride. Big ménage is outside of the mainstream in
the world so it’s forbidden and tricky.
5.) Does your family and friends read your book? Some friends…not the family.
6.) What are you currently working on? Do you have a release
date yet? Title? I’m actually letting my evil twin
out. I love suspense/ mystery and I’m releasing a paranormal cozy mystery with
a psychic amateur sleuth heroine. A Mansion, A Drag Queen, and A New Job will
release in January 2015 under the pen name CC Dragon. Not erotic but a fun
sassy cozy mystery.
7.) What inspired you to become an author? I couldn’t not be. The stories/ voices in my head
demanded to be released somehow.
8.) Tell us a little about yourself. Single, no kids, and a full time writer, I love hot
stuff, romance, and mystery. I’m a TV addict, anything with a good story! I
enjoy going to conferences and meeting readers and other writers. I live in the
Chicagoland area and love it!
