His Vow by Alexandra O'Hurley Blog Tour with Review and Interview

His Vow (Ghosts of New Orleans, 1)
by Alexandra O'Hurley
Genre: IR/MC Paranormal Historical Contemporary Erotic Romance with Horror Elements

I’ll return for you. I vow it.
When Cami DuBois winds up on a Manassas battlefield, she stumbles across Confederate re-enactors too deep in character. One of those men drives her to the point of distraction, while drawing her lusts to the surface. Cami tries to ignore the sensation she knows this man—until he vanishes before her.

Left in limbo, Christophe Sinclair is bound by his vow. Promising to return to his love after the end of the Civil War, he’s overjoyed to have his Camille back—and to truly have her in his arms again is his singular focus.

Christophe’s tie to Cami is strong, one that might defy the rules of space and time.

If the Voodoo Gods allow it.

Overall Rating 4 Stars
I really enjoyed this book, I thought it was very unique and unlike anything I have ever read. The story surprised me and held my attention the entire book. I love Christopher and Cami. I thought the chemistry between the two were amazing.
If you like books that are paranormal this is a good book for you, also it is historical as well. I normally don't read historical romances but this one is my favorite. Brilliantly written. Great job.

MY INTERVIEW!!!!

1.       First off tell us a little about yourself.
a.      I’m a single mom, culinary school drop-out, Netflix binge-watcher, and writer of all genres within erotic romance.
2.       At what age did you start writing? What was the first thing that you written?
a.      I’ve been writing since pretty much I knew how to write.  As a kid, I’d write little short stories and poetry, but as far as romantic fiction, I didn’t write my first novel until 2006.
3.      Can you tell us how you came up with the idea of your latest book/project? Did anything inspire you to write it?
a.      His Vow was five years in the making.  The idea came to me in a dream, as most of my stories do, a little flash of an idea that I then add more to.  I didn’t write it for a long time, worried I wasn’t a strong enough writer to tackle the story – because I really thought this was something special and wanted it perfect.  I did a lot of research for a long time, waiting until I was ready.  Of course research meant spending time in the French Quarter.  So difficult, right?
4.      Can you tell us about your next book/project? Do you have a title/release date?
a.      My next project will be the next Ghosts of New Orleans story, which I am still in the research phase of.  I hope to dive into writing in April, after another visit to New Orleans to get the juices flowing.
5.      If you weren’t a writer what do you see yourself doing?
a.      I don’t want to imagine a world where I’m anything but. When I have dreams of me being back to work at my old job – I label those nightmares.
6.      Who are some of your favorite authors?
a.      Kresley Cole, JR Ward, Shannon McKenna, Robin Schone, Jayne Fresina.
7.      What are your top 5 books that you have read?
a.      Just five?  Jeesh.  Guess I can’t answer all of them? Hmm…To Kill A Mockingbird,  The Lover by Robin Schone, Souls Dryft, Waking Up Dead, and Shadow’s Claim – in no specific order.
8.      What was the last book you have read? What book are you reading right now?
a.      Last book was Dream Lover by Aliyah Burke.  Currently I’m beta reading Waking Up Alive by Emma Shortt, the follow-up to Waking Up Dead.
9.      Would you ever co-write with another author? If yes do you have someone in mind?
a.      I’ve never done it, and the thought seems daunting.  I did a duo with Georgia Fox – central theme but two separate stories.  That’s as far as I think I could go with co-authoring.
10.   Does music inspire you? If yes what type of music usually does?
a.      I struggle to write if there are lyrics in my music – I often stick in a word from the song here and there as I type.  So, I tend to listen to classical music, or opera.  Foreign music is okay, too – if I don’t understand the words, then they don’t get written in.  Arstidir from Iceland makes some incredible music.  I’m a huge fan.

This part is optional.
1.       Favorite Animal – I’m a big dog lover.  My fur-grandbabies are spoiled.
2.       Favorite food – I’m a pasta fan.  I’m currently on a diet, avoiding carbs, and it’s killing me!
3.      Favorite Holiday – Tossup between Halloween and Christmas – my kiddo was born ten days before Halloween and I’m four days before Christmas, so the seasons mean a little more to us.
4.      Favorite Genre to read – I read just like I write – all over the genre map.  But Historicals and Paranormals fill my shelves more than any others.
5.      Favorite color – PURPLE.
