Paisley Hull fell in love at sixteen; the forever kind of love: unexpected, passionate, consuming - her first. She never thought she could walk away from that kind of passion. Ignoring her heart, guided by her head, she never looked back.
Blindsided by the beauty of a tiny, hazel-eyed vixen, Jake Grant fell head over heels in love, vowing to keep her protected and not let his past taint her. He may have been overzealous in his attempts to show her how much he cherished her but he never thought she would walk away without a fight.
Nine years later, a now divorced Jake has a chance encounter with an engaged Paisley just a few short weeks before she is set to walk down the aisle. Wondering if they gave up too easily, the two embark on a journey through the jagged edges of their past. Can they overcome the obstacles to finally become one or is it too late for their second chance?
TWITER: @AuthorLeigh
1.) Tell
us a little about yourself.
Married for 14 years, mother
to a teenager, reality TV junkie, HEA has to be included in all I do; read,
watch, write.
2.) When
did you start to write?
High school with creative writing and then
journaling. I was a marketing representative for nine years so I got to write
all kinds of gimmicks.
3.) What
Genre’s do you write?
Contemporary Romance
4.) Have
you ever thought about writing in a different genre?
No… I would love to maybe venture to young
adult, but my mouth is atrocious and I cannot write or speak without a few cuss
words.
5.) Can
you tell us a little about your new project?
I am working on an anthology releasing
right after Christmas with 7 amazing authors and all proceeds will be donated.
The anthology will feature all new work, 8 new novellas, no cliffhangers!
6.) Do you have any new releases coming out anytime soon?
If yes what is the title and when can we expect it?
Pieces of Paisley releases 10/13/14 and then the anthology
novella; no name yet.
6.) What
are you currently reading? What was the last book you read?
I am currently reading Scorned and the
last read I finished was Locke by Harper Sloan
7.) Who
are some of your favorite authors?
Stephie Walls- as well as a terrific
friend, Nicholas Sparks, Harper Sloan, Jillian Dodd, SK Logsdon.
8.) Can
you tell us about your newest book that you have release?
Pieces of Paisley- this book has been
screaming at me! It has been my favorite, yet hardest to write. Not because of
research, but the emotions. I would say it is about 60% truth or real life
experiences and sometimes as we grow up we have those “what if” questions and I
put my questions down to paper. It is my first stand-alone, although my series
was different characters in each book.
Paisley and Jake have an epic love, but a
real love. Problems, dishonesty, insecurities and a lot of growing up to do. You
get to read about their struggles, situations and downfalls.
9.) Which
of your books you written is your favorite? Favorite Character?
Pieces of Paisley is my favorite; but
Brielle from Not Enough is my favorite character. That girl has some sass.
