All That's Unclaimed (Sunnydale Days Book 2)
by Constance Phillips
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Ben Crawford is forced to face the ghosts of his past after his mother’s accident and Anna Jenkins’s announcement she’s starting her own stables. Only then does he find the strength to hold on to all he’s left unclaimed.
***
Ben Crawford has always believed the professional respect and acceptance he desired couldn’t be found at Sunnydale Farms. There were just too many ghosts residing in his broken home. Only when Anna Jenkins, the one constant at his mother’s therapeutic riding facility, announces she is leaving to start her own stables is Ben forced to grasp hold of all he’s left unclaimed.
MY REVIEW:
This is book two in the series, and I loved it. I
think out of the two so far this is my favorite out of the series. I thought it
was well written and the storyline was amazing. I loved the characters. Ben and
Anna were amazing together. I felt as if the connection was real and
believable. It was very emotional and I think I felt a deeper connection with
Anna and Ben. If you haven’t read book one I think you should, but this book is
a must read. You won’t be disappointed and you will fall in love with Anna and
Ben. Overall I give this book 5 Wonderful stars!
Constance Phillips lives in Ohio with her husband, daughter, two kitties, and four canine kids.
When not writing stories of finding and rediscovering love, Constance is counting down the days until her son and daughter-in-law make her a grandma and planning a cross-country motorcycle trip with her husband for the not-so-distant future…if they can find a sidecar big enough for the pups.
1.
First off tell us a little about yourself.
I live in Ohio with my husband, daughter, four dogs and a
cat. When I’m not writing or reading, we enjoy riding my husband’s motorcycle and
working on our fixer-upper home.
2.
At what age did you start writing? What was
the first thing that you written?
I was pretty young when I started working on writing with
any structure. I started with poetry in junior high school, but quickly
graduated into short stories and was working on a novel by the time I was
fourteen or fifteen.
3.
Can you tell us how you came up with the idea
of your latest book/project? Did anything inspire you to write it?
The ideas for All
That’s Unclaimed started blooming while I was writing All That’s Unspoken. Even though I was focused on Nate and Hailey
while writing that book. Nate’s sister Anna and Hailey’s cousin Rhonda stood
out as characters who needed their own book (though not together.) Unclaimed became Anna’s story and Unrealized is Rhonda’s book (coming in
February).
4.
Can you tell us about your next book/project?
Do you have a title/release date?
As I hinted above, In February All That’s Unrealized will release. It is the third book in the
Sunnydale Day’s series (and I’m hoping we’re not quite done yet). In Unrealized Rhonda can see the future
she’s always wanted coming to fruition. After winning a reality TV show, she
has been offered a mentorship by a top fashion designer. A bout of exhaustion
and a friend-would-be-lover has questioning whether she truly can have it all.
5.
If you weren’t a writer what do you see
yourself doing?
Off and on over the years, I’ve worked in the office of
my husband’s business – managing his appointments and the employee’s schedules.
I’m pretty organized and would probably land on that type of job.
6.
Who are some of your favorite authors?
I’m a huge paranormal romance fan and love Sherrilyn
Kenyon, some Laurel K Hamilton and J.R. Ward I also enjoy Katie O’Sullivan and
Donna Kaufman.
7.
What are your top 5 books that you have read?
I read Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
when I was in high school and that has been a stand out with me since. Two
other big stick-with-me books were The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
and The
Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. To round up the top five I would pick Covet
by J.R. Ward and Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon
8.
What was the last book you have read? What
book are you reading right now?
The last book I read was Blood of a Mermaid by Katie
O’Sullivan (Excellent read!) and I’m currently working on Jonah’s Belly by
Anthony Wittwer (Also excellent!)
9.
Would you ever co-write with another author?
If yes do you have someone in mind?
I would definitely be open to the idea, but it’s hard to
think of another author that I would be able to mesh my voice and my writing
style with. The closest I’ve ever came to doing this is with One Lucky Night. I was one of five
authors who wrote stories that all happened on the same night in the same Irish
pub. The stories are interwoven with the same characters appearing in each of
the stories.
10.
Does music inspire you? If yes what type of
music usually does?
I’m definitely inspired by music. Each of the books I’ve
written has its own playlist of songs I listened to while writing. The genres
are across the board, but mostly pop, southern rock and a few songs that are
the harder side of country.
This part is optional.
