Samantha had always had big dreams of becoming a journalist for The New York Times. So the day of her college graduation she felt like she was on top of the world. She was going to get her dream job, she was with the love of her life Jonathan Carson, and life couldn’t get better. But when she took a pregnancy test that tested positive her whole world changed. It wasn’t till eight years later when she went home for her niece’s birth that she realized she still had Unspoken Dreams.
Questions:
1.
When did you decide to write?
When I was eight years old
my dream of being a writer was born. But it wasn’t until I was in my thirties
did I actually take my writing dream seriously and turn my manuscript into a
publisher.
2.
How did you come up with the idea of your
newest book?
Unspoken Dreams is based on
an old story I wrote when I was fifteen. I wanted a love story but needed a
twist. So I thought why not add a child into the story? I didn’t know then that
it would be the start of my writing career. Now, the version that finally
became Unspoken Dreams with the son having Autism, well my youngest son has
Autism and it was by mistake that I wrote about our experiences from the time I
found out he was Autistic to now. When I write, I write what I’m feeling at the
time and when I wrote Unspoken Dreams I wrote what I felt about having a child
on the spectrum.
What Genre do write?
Romance/Family Drama
3.
Would you ever write with another author if
asked?
Yes
4.
Who is your biggest inspiration?
My Grandmother, although she
is no longer with us. She is my inspiration.
5.
Who are some of your favorite authors?
Nickolas Sparks
JoAnna Lindsey
Jacki Delecki
Nora Roberts
6.
What genre do you like to read?
I love romance. But if the
book sounds interesting I’m up for anything.
7.
What was the last book that you read?
I’m actually reading a GREAT
book called A Code of Love by Jacki Delecki. I’m doing a blog tour for her and
oh my gosh her book has been the best romance I have read in a long time.
8.
What are you working on?
Right now I’m in between
things. Blogging, Promoting, but as far as writing stories, I’m working on a
Saga. It’s called The McGregor Saga. Book 1: A Cowboy’s Duty, Book 2: Jesse’s
Choice, Book 3: Dancing with Jude. Each book is a romance and how each brother
finds their true love. But it will be interesting because it is also a family
drama. Right now I’m working on the first book A Cowboy’s Duty. It tells the
story of Jason McGregor, the eldest McGregor brother and how he balances his
love for a woman he can’t have and his Duty as his father’s foreman.
